Hello, I am Allison Withers, MBACP

I offer a calm and nurturing space where you can explore challenges, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with yourself.

My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative. I work integratively, drawing from person-centred, trauma-informed and attachment-based models, alongside additional training in Imago principles for couples.

Whether you are:

  • a couple feeling disconnected or in crisis
  • partners wanting to deepen your connection
  • a young person navigating big feelings, friendships, or school pressures
  • or an adult living with anxiety, loss, trauma, stress, or unhelpful long-held patterns

I will provide a steady, thoughtful support at a pace that feels right for you.

Alongside my private practice, I have also worked in charitable and community settings, supporting people through adversity, family breakdown and emotional overwhelm. These experiences have strengthened my belief that healing happens when people feel heard, understood, and safely supported.

At Flourish Counselling, my aim is to help you slow down, breathe, and begin to flourish in your own way and in your own time.

I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a Level 5 Diploma in Couples and Relationship Therapy.

How Counselling Works

1) Free Consultation

A 15-minute call to share what has been happening and ask any questions. Together we will explore whether I am the right fit for you.

2) First Session

We will spend time getting to know each other, talk about what brought you to therapy, how we can work together, your expectations from our work together, and agree on a pace that feels comfortable.

3) Ongoing Support

Weekly or fortnightly sessions, in person or online.

We will review together so the work stays supportive and meaningful, noticing changes, however big or small.
